Primary Solids are 3-dimensional forms that are created from basic primary shapes (square, circle, triangle). These are created by mirroring, extending and rotating these shapes and creating a form with volume.
Clustered forms are quite simple, they are regular and irregular forms that are grouped together and combined to create irregular and diverse forms. With clustered forms, the original shapes and forms are still distinguishable.
In design, many basic shapes are combined and connected to create more interesting forms. this can be done in many ways in which the shapes can both keep their original form, overpower one or more forms, or create a new form altogether.
A subtractive form is a way of creating a new and visually stimulating design, this is done when parts of a whole are subtracted to create new spaces. This focuses on negative space and emphasizes the overall form.

The centralized form uses a center point or structure in which the design follows. The centralized form is often the focal point as it interrupts the center of space. A plan follows the center form and is designed around that structure.
